Cascina Bissiniga, in Salò, on Lake Garda — a historic family farmhouse offering two apartments set among olive groves and hills, with a swimming pool and countryside views, just minutes from Salò.
We are delighted to welcome you to this historic family estate. Your holiday home is a place full of history: the building you stay in was once an old farmhouse, already recorded in the "Borgo Bissiniga" on the first Napoleonic maps and mentioned in 16th-century diocesan records as the seat of a female monastic community.
The manor house is an early 19th-century villa, used as a ministerial seat during the Republic of Salò and later as a convent — which is why the estate still has a small church.
Since 2006, we have opened our doors to guests, deliberately choosing not to turn the farm into a modern, sterile resort, but to keep the atmosphere of a real country house.

Siamo felici di ospitarvi in questa antica proprietà di famiglia. Quella che oggi è la vostra casa vacanze è un luogo carico di storia: l'edificio in cui alloggiate era un tempo un antico casale, già censito nel "Borgo Bissiniga" nelle prime mappe napoleoniche e citato nei registri delle visite pastorali del XVI secolo come sede di una comunità monastica femminile.
La casa patronale è invece una villa dei primi dell'Ottocento, sede ministeriale durante la Repubblica di Salò e successivamente convento — motivo per cui la proprietà ospita ancora una piccola chiesa.
Dal 2006 abbiamo aperto le porte agli ospiti, scegliendo consapevolmente di non trasformare la cascina in un resort moderno e asettico, ma di mantenere intatta l'atmosfera di una vera casa di campagna.

Cascina Bissiniga, in Salò, am Gardasee — ein historisches Familiengut mit zwei Ferienwohnungen inmitten von Olivenhainen und Hügeln, mit Swimmingpool und Blick auf die Landschaft, nur wenige Minuten von Salò entfernt.
Wir freuen uns sehr, Sie auf diesem historischen Familiengut willkommen zu heißen. Ihr Feriendomizil ist ein geschichtsträchtiger Ort: Das Gebäude war einst ein altes Bauernhaus, bereits auf den ersten napoleonischen Karten im „Borgo Bissiniga" verzeichnet und im 16. Jahrhundert als Sitz einer Frauenklostergemeinschaft erwähnt.
Das Herrenhaus ist eine Villa aus dem frühen 19. Jahrhundert, während der Republik von Salò Ministeriumssitz und später Kloster — deshalb steht auf dem Gut noch eine kleine Kirche.
Seit 2006 empfangen wir Gäste und haben uns bewusst dagegen entschieden, das Gut in ein modernes, steriles Resort zu verwandeln. Die Atmosphäre eines echten Landhauses bleibt erhalten.
Our philosophy: sustainability and authenticity
Year after year we carefully renovate parts of the property (the pool in 2020, the windows in 2022, fire safety certification in 2025). Many elements, however, are original – and remain that way by choice.
The value of reuse
Our bathrooms are dated but perfectly functional. Replacing intact fittings for aesthetics alone creates tons of rubble: every fixture we keep is one less item in landfill.
Walls that tell a story
We prefer the substance of an old tile to the fragility of cheap modern materials. A lived-in wall is the mark of a real working farm, not a photo set.
Respect for the environment
The lawn is not always cut short: a deliberate choice to preserve bees and butterflies, retain moisture in the soil and keep the surroundings cooler in summer.
The luxury of contrast
We invested where it matters: a wonderful pool and the silence of the countryside. Real luxury is crystal-clear water in the sun, not designer taps.

Our farm animals
Horses grazing among the olive trees, budgies and cockatiels in the aviary: our animals are part of everyday life at the farm. Guests are welcome to watch them, calmly and respectfully.
